Why Incentives Programs

Incentive programs are mere tools to build motivation by offering individuals external rewards. External rewards are awarded to individuals for taking steps in the right direction. Incentives come in various forms, small or big. Incentives range from recognition in the employee’s newsletter for participating in the company baseball team to a small monetary bonus for quitting smoking. They can also include contributions to a "health promotion medical savings account," merchandise awards (e.g., cups, t-shirts, etc.), extra time off from work or travel awards. A common incentive for important behavior changes is discounted health insurance premiums.
There are various types of incentive programs to encourage people to participate and to reward them for their behaviors.

A reward incentive company can perk up your incentive programs only when your employee is happy. An under paid employee cannot be happy. It is necessary to check that your employee is happy so that they put their best and are more productive. Communication between all tiers of business contributors (managers, employees, upper management, and ultimate boss) is another important factor that binds the team for performance and productivity of the business.

Work towards open communication between all your departments - staff and workers. If an employee comes to you with a concern, get directly to the core of the matter. A company, business, corporate should try to look into procedures which their employees think could be changed for efficiency, productivity, or ease and need to check if it's possible to make those changes. Incentives and rewards will be futile if your employees believe management doesn't care what they think. If a company pays its workers fairly, cash is least thought as good motivation. It may win you a new hire, but current and long-standing employees prefer appreciation and rewards which don't seem like a paycheck or bonus. Setting a series of smaller obtainable goals to reach a higher goal at times seems to be best. Remember, raising the mark too quickly or in too large steps will only discourage your employees.

A positive, enjoyable work atmosphere can be the best motivation.
